tecLearningONLINE

What is tecLearningONLINE™?
tecLearningONLINE™ is a new initiative that The Evaluation Center has developed based on our printed toolkits and manuals. tecLearningONLINE™ provides additional support, instruction, and examples made available through courseware delivered online. Sample interactive demos are available through "Guided Tours," which are strictly introductory in nature, giving the visitor an overview to popular toolkits and manuals available from the Center.

What's the difference between "guided tours" and courses?
While guided tours offer only an overview of printed materials, courses through tecLearningONLINE™ provide in-depth instruction, complete with online testing and surveys. Courses also offer the potential for CEU's, and upon successful completion of a course, the learner is awarded a certificate from the Evaluation Center signifying that the learner participated in this online experience.

Course enrollment is free, but you must register before participating.

Guided Tour of the Quality of Life Interview
This tour is offered as an overview of what you will find in the toolkit titled: “Evaluating Quality of Life for Persons with Severe Mental Illness.” “Quality of life” concerns have gained considerable currency throughout the entire field of health care evaluation during the past decade. Driving the movement toward quality of life research is a humanitarian concern about the overall well-being of patients, not just the status of their disease processes. The production of new measures has been so rapid from so many different specialties that the sheer volume of the measures and the concepts underlying them has produced considerable confusion. The printed toolkit is designed to facilitate the use of one of these measures, the Lehman Quality of Life Interview, Full and Brief version.

Guided Tour of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Fidelity
This promo is an overview of the toolkit that offers a working guide for the development of fidelity measures to be used in assessing the implementation of psychiatric rehabilitation program models. The printed toolkit describes the origins of fidelity measures and discusses their research and practical applications, reviews current models in psychiatric rehabilitation, and provides a detailed guide for developing fidelity measures.

Guided Tour of the Recovery Compendium Toolkit
This guided tour is an introductory overview of what you will find in “Can We Measure Recovery? A compendium of Recovery and recovery-related instruments” toolkit. The study of recovery in mental health and the development of instruments to measure it are in their infancy. One of the major challenges to studying recovery is that the concept of recovery is not well defined, so studies and instrumentation vary widely. The instruments in this collection have been found through an extensive review of mental health literature and through informal networking with recovery investigators.
