The campaign, “Mental Health: It’s Part of All Our Lives,” includes broadcast and print public service advertisements that seek to educate the public that mental illnesses are common and that recovery can be expected. The campaign is a three-year initiative in eight states: California, Florida, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wisconsin. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Grant Applicants Webcast Training
To provide an overview of the grants application process and direct interested parties to the latest information on its discretionary grants, SAMHSA has produced a short webcast. The Road to Recovery 2006 series will air nine Webcasts supporting the 17th annual observance of National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month. New this year are 60 second video podcasts for previewing trailers of the monthly Webcasts. The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM), of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' National Institutes of Health, offers a free online continuing education series on complementary and alternative medicine. This lecture series offers health care professionals and the public the opportunity to learn more about complementary and alternative medicine therapies and the state-of-the-science about them through video lectures. Users who complete all the test chapters can generate an online certificate.
